Purpose, people and catalogue quality
Stephen Norcross created Worship Word Video to save church leaders hours of searching for YouTube worship videos with readable words, especially in churches without musicians and congregations where people worship in more than one language.
Many churches do not have a pianist, organist or worship band available for every service. Finding an appropriate video can take much longer than expected: the recording needs a singable arrangement, clear on-screen words, suitable language, accurate subtitles and an ending that works in public worship. This directory brings those practical search needs into one place.
The English catalogue remains central. Multilingual collections also help churches include people who worship most naturally in Persian/Farsi, Urdu, Arabic, Portuguese, Italian and many other heart languages.
The catalogue is intentionally transparent about the boundary of these checks. Automated playback and metadata checks cannot confirm translation accuracy, theology or congregational suitability.
Watch the complete upload before a service. Check every visible word, translation, spoken introduction, verse order, key, tempo, sound level and ending. For multilingual material, ask a fluent speaker and a trusted church leader to review the exact version. Churches remain responsible for the music, projection, recording and streaming permissions relevant to their service and country.
Worship Word Video is a search and playlist-planning directory. It does not host recordings, download videos or reproduce full song lyrics. Videos remain hosted by YouTube and can be changed, restricted or removed by their uploaders. Worship Word Video is not YouTube and does not claim ownership of third-party music, recordings, translations or video artwork.
